We are a family-owned business, founded in 1951 by the late Bill Russell. Nearly 75 years on, the fourth generation of the family has now joined the company.

 

The business began with textiles and later stockfish, before expanding into machinery, vehicles, and spare parts for construction, agriculture, and industry—exporting to markets across the world.

 

In the early 1990s, we were invited to promote sales of Guyanese rice in Europe, an industry in which we remain actively involved today.

 

Over time, the company has evolved and diversified. W.G. Russell & Co. (London) Ltd is now part of W.G. Russell Estates, alongside Russell Martin Ltd, which serves as our main export trading arm.
